Independent assessment
REV clause 4.2 requires reviewers to be free of financial interests, recent employment, close personal relationships and involvement in preparing the application. Independence is checked in writing for each assignment.
AIFD-STD-REV-001Human decisions and separate responsibilities
REV clauses 7.1–7.3 require two authorised, conflict-free decision-makers, neither of whom is the reviewer. Decision approval, certificate issuance and register publication are separate actions. Automation must not make substantive decisions.

The published review procedure gives applicants 14 days to respond to findings. This is a response period, not a promise that an application will be completed in 14 days.

AIFD-STD-REV-001 clause 10 sets out annual aggregate reporting on complaints, refusal rates, suspensions and revocations as part of accountability and oversight.
