Choose the right pathway.

Understand the purpose, requirements and preparation before starting. An application is a request for review, not a grant of status.

Select your pathway

Independent assessment of a festival's governance, rules, jury integrity, creator-rights safeguards and disclosure practice against the published standard. Accreditation is a conformity decision about an edition and an operator — it is not a prize and it does not rank artistic quality.

Festival accreditation: check eligibility first

FES requires a legally established entity and a registration extract issued within 90 days before application. All 13 gates must pass. In-person, online and hybrid festivals are covered; a reachable operating address is required. Class A has additional conditions and is assessed separately.

Before you begin

Organisation and authority

Prepare your legal name, registration evidence, operating address, responsible contacts and authority to submit.

Scope and evidence

Define the requested scope. Gather the relevant governance, rights, disclosure and operating evidence. Requirements depend on the selected scheme.

Fees and timing

Request the applicable fee schedule and an assessment timetable from the secretariat. Complaints and appeals are free under the published review guide. A submission does not guarantee a positive decision.

Saving your application
